FERNDALE’S Fountain College cut the ribbon to open two transportable classrooms yesterday .
The Federal Government provided $129,912 in funding from the Capital Grants Program towards the classrooms, which will enable the school to extend its science program and strengthen development in science, technology, engineering and maths subjects.
Swan MLA Steve Irons, who cut the ribbon with school principal Murat Sevil, said he was thrilled with the new facilities and wished the students well in their study.
“It was great to visit Fountain College and see the new facilities firsthand and the impact they will have,” he said.
“Students and the whole school community will benefit from using the new facilities.”
