STUDENTS from the Indian cities of Chennai and Trichy joined the student body at Canning Vale College as part of the Elevate Training Program.

In a hands-on week, the students mingled with their Perth counterparts as they undertook a series of outdoor education and leadership programs to boost their skills and confidence.

The Elevate program considers itself two pronged by providing opportunity for physical participation through outdoor and leadership activities as well as experiencing cultural exchange and the Australian lifestyle through fun filled interactive learning pursuits.

“(Elevate) strives to provide enjoyment, relaxation, entertainment, excitement, catharsis, and self-expression through tourism and recreational activities; knowledge and first-hand experience of places and systems in Western Australia,” program co-ordinator Kiran Sandhu said.
