International hockey talent heads to Perth

SOME of Asia’s best young hockey talent will head to Perth next week for the FHE Cup 2019.

Teams from Singapore, Malaysia and Japan will take on teams of young WA players in under-18 girls, under-16 girls and under-16 boys’ matches.

International teams taking part include the Bukit Jalil Sports School (BJSS), Matador Hockey Club and Penang Hornets, all from Malaysia, as well as Team Majulah (Singapore) and Japan.

The field hockey tournament will kick off with the under-18 girls’ matches running from Monday to Wednesday.

Under-16 games will then run from November 28 to December 1.

All games will be played at Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University. Full fixtures are available at https://fhecup.wixsite.com/fhecup.
