SINCE 2013, Jason Windows managing director Brendan O’Reilly and his team in Welshpool have been a part of breakfast club at a local primary school.

With a drive to be more hands on in their altruistic aspirations, Mr O’Reilly reached out to Manna, a Victoria Park-based charity that feeds the homeless and disadvantaged people.

“(We) wanted to find a charity that we could not only support financially but also get involved on a more personal hands-on level,” he said.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, Jason Windows staff serve fresh and healthy breakfasts to children Brookman Primary School Students in Langfrod.

The Manna Breakfast Program currently provides breakfast for around 20 students who might otherwise have gone without.

“Staff see the true value and results of their hands-on volunteering, fundraising …and carrying out creative fundraising initiatives on a regular basis… such as the breakfast club (because) Manna receives no government funding – it relies on the kindness and generosity of volunteers and organisations in order to feed the hungry in Perth six days a week,” Mr O’Reilly said.

In three years of collaboration, the company has contributed more than $150,000 to Manna from its breakfast club program, to Community Sleep Out and through fundraising.
