Langford boy (17) to face court after transit guards injured at Welsphool train station

A 17-year-old boy will face court this morning after an incident in which two transit guards were injured at Welshpool train station over the weekend.

Police were called to the train station at 2.30am on Sunday after a boy was escorted from a train.

The two male transit guards who escorted the boy were allegedly injured by the boy at the scene, receiving head lacerations.

They were both taken to Royal Perth Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The boy was charged with two counts of intending to do grievous bodily harm unlawfully wounds another.

He will appear in the Perth Children’s Court this morning.
