Life with Diabetes: Curtin Uni course helps people lean to manage disease

PEOPLE with diabetes can now learn how to manage the complex condition through Curtin’s latest Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), Life with Diabetes.

The MOOC will cover a set of five modules focusing on the different types of diabetes, who is at risk of developing |diabetes and how each type of diabetes is treated.

Curtin University School of Public Health lecturer Patricia Marshall said the MOOC was designed to help those with |diabetes confidently manage their condition.

“We know that living with diabetes can be tiring and frustrating for both the person affected and the whole family,” Ms Marshall said.

Participants can enrol now for Life with Diabetes and the course will start on Monday, September 4.
