Having taken out the top prize, the South Perth resident has been invited to play at Carnegie Hall in New York next year.

‘I have already started to create a list of what I want to do with my parents while I am there,’ Cecilia said.

For sure I want to go to Disneyland and visit my cousins in the USA.’

She started learning the piano when she was just three years old and is now a student at Yoon Sen Lee Music School.

Cecilia said she enjoyed playing piano because she could express herself and her love for music.

‘My hope is that I can be a great pianist and have a scholarship,’ she said.

‘And also to travel around the world to entertain people with my musical playing.’
