Lynwood SHS students get back to nature

STUDENTS at Lynwood Senior High School got close and personal with a wedge-tailed eagle and reptiles as part of Sustainability Week.

The school hosted its sixth annual sustainability week culminating in an expo on August 11.

More than 30 exhibitors ranging from government organisations, university clubs and community groups attended the expo.

Activities included an assembly performance featuring singer and storyteller Gina Williams, accompanied by guitarist Guy Ghouse.

Other attractions included a showing of the school’s indigenous six seasons garden, a music concert featuring musical instruments made from everyday waste products, a book exchange and a fashion parade highlighting recycled clothing.
