Madd about ‘boylesque’

For the second year running, Mr Boylesque was open to male performers and was held alongside the annual Miss Burlesque competition.

In winning on March 15, the school-teacher-by-day dazzled judges and competitors by slinking into a giant balloon and pulling off a dance routine.

‘There is something about performing that I just love,’ he said.

‘I love entertaining the audience and I definitely have performing in my blood.

‘My friends and family say I always have something up my sleeve and I’m really looking forward to competing in the national finals.’

When Mr Madd is not performing, either in comedy or circus routines, he works as an English and maths teacher.

The Mr Boylesque national finals will be held in Melbourne on May 24.
