A 21-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly forced his way inside a Canning Vale day care centre and behaved in an aggressive and erratic manner.

At about 5:25pm yesterday, police say the man forced his way through the door of the Comrie Road facility while staff, parents and children were inside.

He then allegedly damaged property before police were called.

They found the man in a playground at the back of the centre, and deployed a taser to subdue him.

He was arrested and taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital.

No children, staff or parents were injured in the incident.

A Bull Creek man has been charged with aggravated burglary and criminal damage.

He is due to appear in Armadale Magistrates Court today.
