At about 11.40am, an 86-year-old man was crossing Acanthus Road in Willetton on his gopher when he was hit by a silver Hyundai Getz that was travelling west on Acanthus Road.
The man received serious injuries and was taken to Fremantle Hospital before being transferred to Royal Perth Hospital.
Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the crash or the Hyundai Getz and the gopher prior to the crash.
