US institution TGI Fridays is arguably the great-granddaddy of the Friday night happy hour.

The American themed cocktail bar-restaurant opened its first Perth outlet on Thursday (ironically).

We’ve ranked our favourite menu items from best to better (because all the food was good).

1 FIVE ALARM WINGS

We’ve tasted a lot of wings over the years, but to be honest these are the best.

They’re spicy, but tangy, garnished with queso fresco, shaved green onions and a side of ranch dressing.

We dare you not to lick your fingers!

2 S’MORES BROWNIE

Is there anything more American than a brownie? Maybe S’mores? Well this dessert is a decadent combo of both.

The chocolate brownie is topped with chocolate mousse and sticky sweet charred marshmallows.

3 SIGNATURE RIBS

The meat falls off the bone and they’re sweet sticky, tender and delicious.

Our only complaint is we didn’t eat more!

4 FRIDAYS THREE FOR ALL

If you’re going to eat – then you may as well eat it all.

This plate comes with beef and chorizo sliders, chicken wings and vegetable tostadas.

The menu calls it a “share platter”, but we recommend eating it all yourself.

5 MANDARIN STYLE ROAST CHICKEN

We have to admit that we look down on people who order chicken at restaurants, but this dish changes all that.

The chicken is slow roasted and ready to be put inside soft wraps with sake pickled vegetables.
