More reports of trees and plants being vandalised in City of Canning

MORE reports of vandalised trees and plants have emerged, with people handing in CCTV footage to the City of Canning and police.

Councillor Ben Kunze told the Canning Times streets with damaged trees included Tudor Avenue and Corinthian Road East in Riverton, and even Golf Road in Parkwood.

More than 70 trees and plants in Shelley and Riverton were vandalised on November 18 with pictures sent to the City of Canning and Cr Kunze by a Rossmoyne resident who noticed some of the damage while walking her dog along the Shelley foreshore.

The pictures showed young trees and saplings snapped in half.

Authorities are now on the hunt for the culprit.
