Parkwood Primary School improves sustainability

Pia van StraalenCanning Gazette

SOLAR panels, closed loop food production and recycling are just some of the ways children at Parkwood Primary boost their school’s sustainability.

The school has been considered a local leader in sustainability for more than 20 years and recently celebrated its 20th anniversary as a Waterwise School and attracting national acclaim for its top ten ranking in the Cool Australia Enviroweek awards.

This year has been no different, and recently the youngsters were recognised for their sustainable action within their school with a Switch Your Thinking award.
