A WILLETTON Senior High School pupil remains in a serious but stable condition at Perth Children’s Hospital after being hit by a car.

The Year 9 student was on his way to school near the corner of Agincourt Drive and Pinetree Gully Road when he was struck at about 8am yesterday.

School staff assisted until emergency services arrived.

Police said the boy suffered serious head injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being transported to Perth Children’s Hospital.

Willetton SHS principal Colin Marshall said his thoughts were with the student and his family at the difficult time.

“All the staff, students and parents wish him a swift and full recovery,’’ he said.

Police are investigating.
