PetRescue to benefit from sales of cute calendars available in Cannington

Jaime ShurmerCanning Gazette

A CUTE calendar at a bargain buy of $3 is helping PetRescue save thousands of homeless animals from being put down.

PetRescue chief executive Vickie Davy is encouraging people to ensure the calendar is a stocking filler.

“Last year, sales of the calendar raised more than $110,000 for PetRescue, which translated to 12,000 pets finding safe and loving homes over the Christmas and New Year period alone,” she said.

Ms Davy said the calendar was a celebration of the animals successfully saved, including a paddle of ducks known as The Drakes, and Pillow the pig.

“It also shows people the range of animals available through pet adoption and we’re hoping it will lead to many more enquiries about rescuing a pet,” she said.
