Police investigating smash in Canning Vale

POLICE are investigating after a driver left the scene of a serious accident in Canning Vale, leaving his female passenger in the vehicle.

The crash occurred about 8.30pm when a Holden Colorado travelling west on Roe Highway drifted onto the gravel shoulder and hit a light pole bout 1km east of South Street.

The driver left the scene while the female passenger, aged in her 20’s, remained in the car.

The passenger was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance for assessment.

A man aged in his 20s was found by police at a house in Hammond Park and is assisting with inquiries.
