Delasa Psychology founder and principal psychologist Sahba Saberi said she ran the program using up-to-date therapeutic techniques.
‘The program helps women recognise unhelpful thoughts that can cause anxiety and depression,’ she said.
‘There is a focus on mindfulness ” being aware of what is happening around you. Studies have shown people are happier when they live in the present.’
The centre relies on the assistance of volunteers. Ms Saberi said she hoped the program could continue to run with their help.
