SPRING is nearly here and new life has started to emerge in suburban wetlands, prompting a reminder for people to be cautious on roads near water.

Shelduck ducklings, hatched at Bibra Lake, were some of the first out of nests to brave cold and wet weather under the guidance of their parents.

To report sick or injured wildlife, call Wildcare Helpline on 9474 9055.
