LIVING her life through music not only makes Ceicilia Limargana happy, it’s earned her recognition around the world.

The 11-year-old pianist and singer from Riverton is making her mark in the classical and musical theatre world, collecting a swag of state, national and international awards.

Last month she performed with the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra at Hale School, her second performance with an orchestra. Her first was in China in 2017 with the Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra.

Ceicilia started playing the piano when she was six years old and practises about two hours each day.

Her dedication and professionalism have earned her awards and first prizes globally – for competitions held in the US, Vienna and Paris.

“I love playing the piano and singing both classical and musical theatre,’’ she said. “Music allows me to express my feelings and create a connection with others.”

Mum Susi said she was incredibly proud of her efforts but has no idea where she got her talent: “We all love to sing and hear music, but we can not play an instrument very well.’’
