Sean Teh receives Asian Exchange scholarship

CANNING Vale man Sean Teh was one of the first Australians to receive an Asian Exchange scholarship, which supports undergraduates eager to contribute to Australia’s success in Asia.

The scholarship came from the from the Westpac Bicentennial Foundation which helps support individuals with the drive and imagination to shape the future of Australia by awarding100 scholarships a year, forever.

Studying at UWA, Mr Teh said being recognised as one of the first cohort of scholars provided a great opportunity to open doors to future career opportunities.

According to the research, nearly nine in 10 (89 per cent) scholarship recipients also said they believed funding and finances was most important in assisting leaders to drive innovation, technology and positive social change within Australia.
