Parents can lodge Centrelink documents straight from the maternity ward using a fast and secure smartphone application.

Federal Minister for Human Services Jan McLucas met expectant parents and staff from Ngala, an organisation that provides parenting and early childhood services, to discuss the support available to help raise children. She said the Federal Government’s Express Plus Families application would provide parents the opportunity to complete their Centrelink business on their phones.

‘The Express Plus Families application allows busy parents to update family income estimates, view transaction history, read letters and change contact details ” all without having to visit an office,’ she said.
