There will also be over 25 stall holders and dog providers, a Canine Adventure Course, roving entertainment, stage shows and puppy parades.

Canning mayor Paul Ng said the event promoted long term health and wellbeing to residents.

“Tails on the Trail is a fun day out with the family and your pet dogs. I encourage everyone to come along, soak up the sunshine, and celebrate a happy, healthy balanced life with their pets,” Mr Ng said.

“The walking path is wheelchair and stroller friendly, making the event open to every man, woman and their dog.”

Food trucks will be serving up healthy refreshments, along with free water and healthy treats for dogs.

Tails on the Trail is a low-waste event, so participants are encouraged to bring their re-usable coffee cup and water bottle.

All dogs must remain on a leash for the duration of the event, however there will be an off-lead area for big dogs and a second area dedicated to little pups.
