MORE than 800 people attended the opening of the City of Canning war memorial and amphitheatre stage on Remembrance Day.

The memorial wall acknowledges Australia’s service in all conflicts.

A black path connects the amphitheatre and wall as homage to frontline trenches used by Australian and New Zealand soldiers according to a 1915 Anzac Cove map.

Mayor Paul Ng praised the community for coming to show their support for fallen soldiers.
