Welshpool: thieves pull knife on bike owner as he confronts them

THE owner of two push bikes worth $10,500 had a knife pulled on him when he confronted two thieves in Welshpool trying to take them.

A man and a woman stole the two bikes off a bike rack on the back of a car on Pilbara Street on September 20 and rode away on them.

The owner saw them and followed the pair in his car before pulling over to confront the couple.

As he did, he had a Stanley knife pulled on him before they both ran off, leaving the bikes behind.
