It will be alleged that about 5pm on August 17 he struck the victim on the head from behind as he walked through Hedley Park in Bentley and stole his mobile phone and wallet.
An hour later, the accused had used the victim’s credit card at a liquor store, service station and fast-food outlet.
Officers from the South East Metro District Crime Team recently arrested the man on other matters and Kensington Detectives charged him.
