Aircraft pollution fears

These aircraft release high levels of pollution, especially carbon particulates, which in certain concentrations pose significant risks to public health.

The ever-increasing amount of heavy vehicle freight throughout our area also adds significantly to particulate levels. This now means that our children especially are exposed to dangerous levels of environmental pollution.

Although aircraft traffic falls largely under the purview of Federal Government jurisdiction, the State Government does have the ability to mitigate heavy vehicle freight.

The Greens are the only party to have campaigned strongly on this issue to date. Will Dr Nahan also follow the Greens’ lead and act to reduce environmental pollution in Riverton?
