Anzac Day hypocrisy

A Vietnam veteran was forced to sell his Victoria Cross medal to support his family while hundreds of others have been cast onto the social and medical scrap heap.

It highlights the obscene indifference and contempt in which our returned service people are held by many of the entrenched political and bureaucratic parasites.

They have been in a position to rectify the injustice for decades, but choose to turn a blind eye.

Their self-serving objectives and energies are directed to obtaining their own bigger and better remuneration packages to enable them to live in comfort for the rest of their lives, while leaving those young people they sent to fight and die for this country to do the same for their own survival if and when they return home.
