Drone dangers

Janice TeoCanning Gazette

I SEE that drones are readily available in the stores. There is no problem if a mature and responsible person buys and operates the drone.

The danger is if one is bought for a child as a toy.

The drone has four spinning blades like a helicopter and controlled by a person on the ground. I fear if an inexperienced person operates the drone it could cause physical damage to the operator or onlookers.

The other danger I see if it is used near a road. The drone could crash into a road user, causing an accident.
