THE Fight For Canning Campaign offered the opinion that other councils wouldn’t keep up the aged and disability care services Canning now provides.
I’m not so sure about that.
We are clearly an ageing population, and the need for such facilities will only increase in to the future.

READ NOWWhat I am not sure about is if people with disabilities will ever receive the support needed for equal opportunities in life and personalised care plans.
That will require the National Disability Insurance Scheme to be delivered, regardless of what state our Federal Budget is claimed to be in.
People with disabilities should not have to wait anymore for the funding to make their own choices about the care they need, and the jobs they’d like.
