The bride emerged resplendent in her bridal gown and entered the carriage where a footman held the horse’s bridle to keep it from bolting. Although the weather was cloudy it was an even bet as to whether, or not, it would rain that day.
The best man was the only one to bet on rain and he eventually won his bet. Of course, once it started to rain all the guests bolted and nobody knew where they then were.
There was no telling as to where their hiding place was until the rain stopped. The effect of the storm was to affect all the wedding guests that day.
The bridal collage eventually ended up in the main hall of the college where the bride had gone to school and all the students cheered gleefully.
After some time the bride and groom ended up in their own private lair and there was nobody else there to their great relief.
