Funding queried

WA Labor’s Hannah Beazley has been quoted in the local press as saying, ‘I have seen high schools in the area unfairly funded.’

Now, she has put out a media release stating that Labor will only commit to the stage one of the WSHS project.

Over the past four years, the Liberal Government has allocated $124million to Rossmoyne, Willetton and Lynwood senior high schools. During Labor’s previous eight years in government, it spent just $1.9 million per year on these three important local schools.

Labor says it will use the funding from cancelling the much-needed Roe 8 extension to help pay for its flawed train promise. Is that what it’s going to do with Willetton SHS’s remaining funding too?

The Liberal Government has allocated $1 million to the City of Canning to re-open and refurbish the Willetton Sports Club. It also allocated $250,000 for the planning to widen Shelley Bridge to three lanes in both directions plus install a pedestrian/cycleway across the bridge.

Hannah Beazley needs to come clean. Is she scrapping those projects too to help pay for Labor’s flawed train promises?
