MY congratulations to Mayor Paul Ng for admonishing most councillors for not attending a planned tour of the City’s aged and disabled care facilities.
Meeting these residents and inspecting their facilities would assist councillors in understanding their concerns and thus determine the level of support required when advocating for these “special needs” citizens who are facing worrying government changes.
My wife and I are now 80 and our daughter and her husband are both disabled and have little ability to advocate for themselves.
For 19 years, they have lived in a wonderful care facility with daily support provided by the City of Canning.

All councillors should hop on this happy train to ensure that government changes to do cause a train wreck in care support.
