Inconsiderate mobile phone users a menace

Some people are infuriatingly inconsiderate in the way they use their mobile phones.

FURTHER to your editorial in the July 5 edition headlined “Pet hates will trigger anger”, I ride a mobility scooter in the local shopping centre and my pet hates are those people with mobile phones.

When using them, they have no consideration for anything in front of them and will walk right into you.

On a pedestrian walkway, they drive right through it whilst on their mobiles.

Go into a food hall with a family and three out of four will sit and use them whilst the fourth will sit like a lemon hoping someone will talk with them. My biggest pet hate is when I am sitting in the food hall with friends and someone will stop near and talk loudly into their phone.

I put up with lots of things in my life but draw the line here and tell them to quieten it down or move on. To others, I use an expletive when they are completely blocking my passage.

I was never one to lose my temper until recently and put it down to age and growing intolerance of people’s ignorance of what is around them when using mobile phones.
