Jensen, Nahan out of tune

Staff ReporterCanning Gazette

THOSE of us at the ‘Fight for Canning’ meeting last Monday night, were assured by Commissioner Reynolds that there was more than a chance that Riverton, Rossmoyne, Shelley and Willetton would remain in Canning.

A pamphlet in my letterbox that night from Dr Dennis Jensen, Federal Member for Tangney, has just muddied the waters regarding local government reform.

He states ‘under the proposal residents in Riverton, Rossmoyne, Parkwood, Shelley and Willetton will now be part of the Gosnells amalgamation’. Wrong.

Dr Jensen should keep his nose out of local government issues.
