FORGIVE me for being classed as a populist, but I have a liking for Brendon Grylls.
The man is West Australian to the hilt and actually cares for our State.
He is asking for the tax rate for the price of iron ore to be revised.
I find nothing wrong with his idea as the price has stayed the same since the 1950s.
Maybe increasing the iron ore price to $5a ton is a bit of a stretch, but it leaves it open for negotiation.
The fact that we are, in 2016, receiving 25 cents a tonne for our iron ore is in itself a disgrace.
When a company can negotiate 25c a ton in the 1950s and not have it reviewed since then, it seems very unfair and strange.
Remember one thing “when it’s gone, it’s gone”.
