Settle at $66K: Canning Mayor

Janice TeoCanning Gazette

ACCORDING to your report, Paul Ng said he was prepared to be mayor for what before the election he thought was $23k.

He has since found that half the total mayoral allowance is $66k but he apparently intends to take $110k.

His promise would have influenced many electors. I strongly suggest that he takes no more than the $66k, which is still $43k more than he apparently expected.
