It contained money just withdrawn from an ATM for Christmas expenses for family and our normal weekly shop as aged pensioners.

After a futile backtrack and search, my wife and I returned home to begin phone calls to the bank and other agencies.

Patiently waiting for us outside our home was a good Samaritan, George Wallis. He returned my wallet intact, refusing to take any reward.
