Vandals damage so much good work

Volunteering is a much better way to put those hands to use.

I WAS disgusted to read in your paper of some vandals undoing the good work of many volunteers from CREEPA who planted river plants in Canning and Rossmoyne.

I ask them what good are vandals doing or have done in their lives. If you cannot do any good then do not do bad things either. This vegetation would afford us all oxygen and restore habitats for birds. Thank you Mr Johnston and team.

Then we hear of 10 and 11-year-olds vandalising a cemetery by breaking headstones and so forth.

I want to ask parents are they instilling kindness and goodness in their children? Please teach them from young to respect other people’s property, even government property.

If it is government’s property, the rebuilding costs fall on us so do not shout for better pensions if this is where government money goes.

Also, ask youngsters when robbing and bashing the elderly would they like to see their nana or pop so treated? It might bring it home to them. Moreover, teach them to volunteer to serve a good cause.
