GREYHOUND trainer Cosi Dagostino recorded his biggest victory in greyhound racing when he took out the Group 2 WA Oaks over 520m with in-form chaser Lini Danco at Cannington last Saturday.

Lini Danco drove to the front out of the traps, which allowed her to avoid the trouble that occurred behind her at the first corner when several of the field were pushed wide.

The handy dark brindle skipped away to an unassailable position down the back straight and despite having ground taken off her by the fast-finishing Moment To Jive in the run for home, she was never in danger of losing.

She sailed across the finish line three lengths ahead in 29.88 seconds.

Lini Danco has claimed three wins in her past four starts and has now banked more than $63,000 in stake money.

Dagostino, who runs a small kennel out of Banjup, has recently returned to greyhounds following an extended break from the sport.
