It was the Linda Britton-trained chaser’s final hit-out before the WA Sprint Championship series, which starts at headquarters this weekend.
The winner of that series will progress to a home Nationals on Saturday, August 23.
But Zelemar Fever will need a dramatic form reversal if she is to participate. She has had two runs back after nearly two months away from the track and is clearly struggling to regain the form which saw her collect the Group One Temlee in Melbourne and gain a berth in the Perth Cup final this year.
