The Kickoff Fiesta will be a family friendly event celebrating cultural diversity, with prizes, food, stalls and different activities and entertainment.

Event co-ordinator and Shelley resident Alex Corinaldesi said the event, dreamt up by his diploma of events classmates at the Challenger Institute of Technology, was about supporting multiculturalism and having fun.

But with a $1000 prize at the end of it, the competition is sure to be fierce.

‘There will be more casual games for the kids and more competitive soccer for the older age groups adults,’ he said.
