Greyhounds: Krugerrand in triumphant return to Cannington track

Pia van StraalenCanning Gazette

After spending more than eight months on the sidelines Krugerrand was a touch sluggish out the traps but quickly found top gear and pushed through to the front at the business-end to score by one- and-half in 30.16.

It was a good hit-out for the Paul Stuart-trained racedog as he looks to regain top form heading into the Perth Cup series later this month.

Later in the evening Stuart also claimed the NPB Security Grade 5 (520m) with exciting youngster Astrozone.

Astrozone continued the brilliant start to his career with his sixth win in a row via a dominant performance.

The fawn speedster bounced straight to lead and then left his rivals in the dust to cross the finish line nearly six lengths ahead in 30.06.
