Greyhounds: trainer Paul Stuart enjoys big night out with four winners

TRAINER Paul Stuart enjoyed a night out at Tabtouch Park Cannington last Saturday with four winners including victory with a surprise appearance from Mandurah specialist Astrophysic.

It took until his 70th race for Astrophysic to have his first run on the city circuit and he appreciated the change scenery as he dominated a Free To All over 520m.

Astrophysic bounced to the lead out of the traps from box eight and did not give his rivals a look in as he led all the way

He kicked away in the home straight to score by three-and-a-half lengths in a very quick 29.93.

The star dark brindle has now collected 51 career wins and more than $160,000 in stakes.

Stuart would have also been very pleased to see Quartz Bale back in the winner’s circle after the injury prone chaser claimed a 520m Grade 5 in 30.22.

Quartz Bale was a contender for 2015 Greyhound of the Year but had saluted the judges since January.

Stuart’s other winners on the evening were Romeo’s Comet in a 600m Free To All and France Soir claimed a Grade 4/5 520m.
