The Riverton resident completed the Mary-Ellen Holland Competition last weekend, coming third overall in the Novice Ladies Division.
She is building up to the state championships in October and last year achieved fourth place in the nationals.
Skating since aged six, Lia trains five days a week at Cockburn Ice Arena under coaches David and Jane Reynolds.
