Manning water polo player wins Notre Dame Uni’s Prendiville Scholarship

He won Notre Dame University’s Prendiville Scholarship, which was established by the Prendiville family and is given to an outstanding graduate from Aquinas College.

Peter Prendiville is the chancellor of the university.

Nicholas is studying physiotherapy at Notre Dame and has represented WA and Australia in water polo, with his sights now set on the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

This year he hopes to represent Australia at the U20 World FINA Water Polo Championships in Belgrade in August.

“I would like to thank the Prendiville family for providing this scholarship, which will help me with my studies and in achieving my future goals,” he said.

“The School of Physiotherapy is delighted to welcome Nicholas to the Notre Dame community,” Dean of the School of Physiotherapy Professor Jo Connaughton said.

“We look forward to helping Nicholas realise his career ambitions as a physiotherapist.”

The scholarship was presented at the university’s annual awards evening at the Fremantle Campus on March 23.
