Mixed fortunes for Willetton in basketball

THE Willetton Tigers lost to the Joondalup Wolves at the Willetton basketball stadium on Friday night.

It was an even contest from the outset, with both teams competing for the early lead.

The Tigers managed to go into the end of first period up by two points.

The second period was an even affair, with both teams trading buckets. The Wolves managed to get a 51-48 lead at half-time.

The Tigers were not able to keep up in the third period, with the Wolves extending the buffer to 15 points. The final score was 77-105.

Damien Scott finished with 20 points and three rebounds, while Ephrem Davis had 12 points and nine rebounds.

The Willetton Tigers women’s team defeated the Joondalup Wolves 71-65.

The Tigers got out to an early lead, but the Wolves came back to lead by one point at the end of the first period.

The Tigers were able to get their game going in the second period, leading the half 37-26.

The third period was much of the same, with the Tigers getting out to a 20-point lead.

Lara Napier finished with 18 points and seven rebounds while Kate Malpass had 17 points and four rebounds. The final score was 71-65.
