Not a prayer for Wolverines

Staff ReporterCanning Gazette

In the first half, the Saints offence moved and scored at will on the back of strong running by Johnny Simon and the passing of quarterback Nick Psanoudakis.

The offence racked up five touchdowns by halftime. The defence, led by Jeremy Stephens, completely shut down the Wolverines offence, allowing only one first down by half-time.

With a 33-point lead, the Saints coaches began rotating players but the team marched on.
