Ben Wright and Nang Van Nguyen train at the Muscle Pit gym in Cannington and finished fourth and fifth respectively in their classes.
Mr Wright lifted 154kg in the 88kg category, and Mr Van Nguyen lifted 123kg in the 54kg category.
Mr Wright (26) said he started training for power-lifting two years ago after playing wheelchair basketball for 12 years.

READ NOW‘I showed up for a try-out and came close to the national record,’ he said.
‘People kept telling me I should train seriously and it just went from there.
‘Coming from a team sport, it was good to have my own achievements and successes depend on my efforts ” if I fail, it’s on me and if I succeed, it’s on me.’
Mr Wright said he was on the cusp of a national berth and needed to finish in the medals to qualify for the 2016 Paralympics in Brazil.
He said the national titles in Brisbane, held on August 17, would be used as qualifiers for upcoming competitions.
‘From there, it would be onto the Malaysian championships, the Commonwealth Games and hopefully to Rio,’ he said.
