TWENTY-five club records fell when the Riverton Aquanauts held its club championships recently.

Riverton Aquanauts head coach Gemma Herrington said 42 swimmers competed in the competition, with each event they swam accruing points towards being crowned the club champion or runner up.

“Swimmers competing at club championships events always seems to encourage one another to swim at their best,” she said.

“But I was surprised that this resulted in so many club records being broken in one night.”

Riverton MLA Mike Nahan was on hand at the event to present trophies and medals to the winners and runner ups.
